Divine Magic - A form of magic casting that derives its power from veneration of one or more gods. After the forming of the Covenant Humans learned of the Charter, a divine language that could give order to and manipulate creation. Through its use, Humans have developed many schools of Charter mastery similar to traditional Arcane Wizards.
Arcane Magic - This form of magic utilizeses the actual fabric and power of the world to do its works. Fueled by the casters own willpower and destructive by nature, its use is outlawed by the Covenant. The most dangerous form of Arcane magic was the unholy necromancy, whose practice could raise the dead. In Erazel and other places throughout the old empire the people erected large inscribed stone monoliths that would act as wards that would prevent the working of arcane magic.
